A lightweight, no-fuss robot for daily hard-floor maintenance, but its basic mopping and low suction leave it outclassed by similarly priced competitors.
Picking up the HG4 is genuinely surprising — at 2.7 kg it feels like a toy, and carrying it between floors is effortless. The compact self-empty dock is a nice touch too, taking up less shelf space than most competitors. That is where the good news ends. At 4,000Pa in 2026, the suction is a generation behind everything else at $400, and the clip-on mop pad is just a damp rag with no vibration or pressure. Czech buyers might appreciate Hoober's local support and warranty, but on pure performance, a similarly priced Roborock or Dreame will clean circles around it. Only makes sense if portability and compact dock footprint are your top priorities.
