The Ecovacs X9 Pro Omni has a real advantage on hard floors from its OZMO Roller, which vacuums and mops simultaneously while self-washing. Navigation & Obstacle Avoidance

The X60’s ProLeap 2.0 legs are what separate it most clearly from the Ecovacs. The X9 Pro Omni uses a standard chassis — solid dToF LiDAR and TruEdge 3D detection make it a competent navigator, but it’s bounded by normal wheel-based locomotion. Thresholds above ~0.8 inches stop it.

The X60 crosses thresholds up to 3.47 inches as a matter of routine. Beyond threshold crossing, the X60 recognizes 280+ object types and uses proactive illumination to identify obstacles in dark corners — a combination that makes it more reliable in complex environments.

The Ecovacs is also slim at 3.86 inches — not as thin as the X60’s 3.13 inches, but slimmer than many competitors. For under-furniture reach, the X60 has the edge.

Mopping

This is where the Ecovacs X9 Pro Omni earns its reputation. Dried coffee stains, kitchen grease, and tracked-in mud respond to the OZMO Roller in ways spinning pads simply cannot replicate.

The X60 Max Ultra Complete’s MopExtend spinning-pad system is excellent — dual pads with edge-reaching arm, hot water mopping, 100°C dock washing. For daily maintenance mopping it performs well. But the OZMO Roller’s instant self-wash means the Ecovacs never redistributes dirty water, which the X60’s mop pads inevitably do between dock returns.

If you’re primarily evaluating these robots for mopping performance, the Ecovacs X9 Pro Omni wins this category clearly — even against the X60.

Dock & Maintenance

The X60’s dock auto-empties (100-day capacity), washes mops at 100°C, UV sterilizes, and hot-air dries. The boiling-water dock wash is more aggressive than the Ecovacs station’s hot water approach. UV sterilization adds an extra hygiene layer the Ecovacs dock doesn’t offer.
